This happened a while ago but it still bugs me. Reserved a premium car several weeks in advance. Arrived to pick it up. They had zero cars. Several hours later they had one sent over. Trip went fine. Returned the car and they could not check me back in because it was not in the system for some reason. Took my email to send me a receipt when they got it figured out but never heard from them again. It turns out they billed my credit card before I even got back. I tried another location a second time and it went even worse. Stay away from this company.
wish this place dooms to dust .. hate the place so much . It’s been an year this happened . Today was just booking a large at the suv near by enterprise and just these memories came by and I would never forgive myself if I atleast don’t post a review about this place ... never go this place ... one time when enterprise messed up my reservation , they atleast apologized and made up for it at the next reservation ... but these guys ,, I still paid the whole thing ..
This Avis location is between my house and the highway, which makes it a convenient stop on the way to Interstate 70. The staff (usually one or two people) is always very friendly and outgoing, and are more than happy to accommodate your wishes when requesting an automobile (good and diverse offering of vehicles). I frequent the store almost on a weekly basis, and I am never disappointed when requesting a car.
I wouldn't rent a dvd from these people let alone a vehicle. I showed up 10 minutes before they opened so I could get my car and get on the road. I had a company-made reservation and had a business meeting to attend. The agent was wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, showed up 15 minutes late and could have cared less that my car wasn't there and that she had nothing comparable for me. She then proceeded to disappear behind the staff only door for a half hour and ignore me as I was waiting for a solution. Long story short, she came out and told me she had nothing for me and I had to drive my own car to Chicago. Ridiculous and absolute joke of a place. Can't even imagine how they are in business.

This was bar none the worst customer service encounter I ever had. Long story short, the car I reserved was in the lot, the representative was on her way out to check the car and another person came in behind me that had prepaid the same class of car. Representative made the decision to give the person who came in after me the car that seconds before was going to be mine. When I asked for an explanation the woman representative literally yelled at me and told me I could take a down grade in class or wait at least half an hour until another car could be delivered. I have never been treated that way by a service provider. When the kind person who came in after me offered to wait for the nest car (we couldn't wait), the representative would not allow it. Upon returning the car, I asked to speak to a manager and was told that wasn't possible and that I would have to use the 1 800 customer service number. Absolutely THE WORST customer service ever...borderline abusive. Save yourself the hassle and choose another provider or go to another location.
Anyways please guys , go to any other Avis location but never go here ,, Avis is great , I love them ,, but not this location and the irresponsible lady boss there
i had two incidents .. first time I booked a large suv , for my family , went there , they gave me a small suv ... trip went horribly wrong ... I thought it’s fine it happens once in a while ,, forgived... I always go to the enterprise near by , but Avis was lil closer and traditionally Avis is supposed to be better than enterprise .
Anyways long story short ,, that was the last time ever my family decided to have a trip with us .. they and my wife have so much fear even mentioning road trip after that incident ... my wife is fine now but never again my family will agree with me for a road trip ...
Worst AVIS ever ... I have never hated a place so much ,, go to any other AVIS but never to this location
I thought I’ll take a second chance , . Family coming from overseas ... we thought we will take a good vacation. Again rented a large suv . I even went to the location a few days before and talked the lady who is the owner and explained that I had a bad experience before so please be careful and she promised that all will be fine ... day of the rental , same story .. no large suv ... my family or 5 and luggage for a 10 day road trip all had to be squeezed in a Ford Explorer ... I had no other choice as every other rental locations where sold out . We did the trap . My wife developed back pains after the trip as she had to be cramped between my family in the rear seat , and my family had to worry more about sitting in the car in between all the luggage’s
